Why Most Holidays No Longer Feel Restful
18/5/2026
There was a time when holidays meant rest.
Today, they often feel like the same intensity moved to a different location.
Schedules.
Movement.
Photos.
Notifications.
A constant feeling that we need to keep up with something.
And somewhere in the middle of all this, the body never truly gets the chance to relax.
We see it often.
People arrive and need two or three days just to begin slowing down.
To sleep a little deeper.
To stop checking their phones every few minutes.
To sit somewhere without feeling the need to do something.
The truth is that most people today are not simply tired.
They are constantly alert.
And that does not disappear overnight.
Maybe real rest is no longer found in “busy” holidays.
Maybe it exists in places where not much happens.
Places where mornings begin slowly.
Where there is silence.
Where the body no longer needs to remain in a constant state of tension.
This is how we always imagined Alkifron.
Not as a place full of activities.
But as a space where people can, even for a little while, truly relax again.
