The Best Conversations Begin at Breakfast
27/5/2026
There is one question I hear very often during breakfast.
“When was this hotel built?”
And almost always, another question follows.
“Who built it?”
That is when I tell them the truth.
My father built it.
Not simply to create a hotel.
But because he wanted to dedicate a home to my mother.
And every time, something changes in the atmosphere.
The conversation pauses for a moment.
Someone smiles.
Someone looks around differently.
As if the place suddenly carries a different meaning.
Perhaps people can feel when something has been built with love.
When there is a story behind a place.
Memory.
People.
Something real.
And perhaps that is what stays with them the most in the end.
Not only the place itself.
But the feeling it leaves behind.
